MARILYN

Marilyn is an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company's Nairobi office, where she specializes in healthcare systems across Africa as part of the Healthcare Systems & Services Practice. She has led transformative programs across Rwanda, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, and South Africa, spanning health system strengthening, digital-health innovation, health financing, supply chain, and vaccine manufacturing. Marilyn also serves as Co-Director of Health Worker Capacity at the McKinsey Health Institute, a global initiative working to add 45 billion years of higher-quality life for people worldwide. Her client work spans supporting African governments on pandemic response, expanding private HIV treatment services, scaling community health interventions across 15 countries, and strengthening public health supply chains. Before McKinsey, Marilyn practiced medicine in public and private hospitals in Kenya and worked as a research analyst focused on improving patient experience across hospitals in the UK and US. She holds an MD from the University of Nairobi and an MS in Public Health from the University of Warwick.
